Hi to anyone who remembers me i went to broadholm then on to waverley. After that i joined the british army where i traveled the world and learnt more than i ever did at waverley but hey i loved school there. Live in north wales now and own a transport business with my beautiful wife michelle.Wasnt the drum a very special place to grow up no1 had anything but i think we had everthing we needed.

Used to attend Kingridge seconday school finished in 1974. Margaret Reid and Grace Thompson and Jacqueline Rennie was in my class, does anyone know them.

GREAT PHOTOS OF THE DRUM .SUCH A PITY TO SEE IT GETTING KNOCKED DOWN. ILIVED AT 15 FOSWELL PLACE IT WAS A VERY DEPRIVED AREA BUT I WAS BROUGHT UP THERE AND I NEVER TOOK GLUE DRUGS OR BEAT ANYONE . THER WERE A LOT OF GOOD PEOPLE WHO CAME FROM THERE.I NOW LIVE IN OMAGH NORTHERN IRELAND AM HAPPY BUT NEVER AS HAPPY AS I WAS IN THE DRUM EVEN THOUGH WEE WERE VERY POOR LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE YOU COULD ALWAYS DEPEND ON YOUR NEIGBOURS ALWAYS

Hi - left the Drum and emigrated to Australia with my wife (Wee Mo Hughes from Invercanny) in 1991 - get back every year and try to get to Ollies or The Good Year for a pint. Hi to everyone who know us
