Tattenhall is a Cheshire village, 8 miles south-east of Chester in England. In 2003 the village won the Business in the Community (BITC) award as overall winner of the business category in the Calor Village of the Year competition. It was also a regional winner in the Older People category.
There are 3 pubs in Tattenhall, The Sportsmans, The Letters Inn and The Bear & Ragged Staff which was part converted into a Thai restaurant in 2005.
Tattenhall is home to a group of houses designed in 1927 by architect Clough Williams-Ellis, famous for creating the Italianate village of Portmeirion in North-West Wales.
Tattenhall lies on the North Wales Coast railway line, which passes right through it, although the village used to have a station, which was closed in 1966, the platforms are still visible as you pass through the village.
