Warning from RSPCA after fox is rescued from football netting in Birmingham

The RSPCA is urging people to put sports netting away this summer after a fox had to be rescued when he got tangled up in Birmingham.

RSPCA inspector Boris Lasserre rescued the cub from some football  netting in a garden in Highfield Road, in Hall Green, yesterday (29 June) morning.

Owner loses two cats to suspected poisoning on same day in Cheshire

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a pet-owner lost two cats to suspected poisoning on the same day in Northwich.

Smokey, aged eight, and Ozzy, aged eighteen months, died on Wednesday 15 June after they both suffered from symptoms consistent with ingesting a poisonous substance.

Snakes alive! RSPCA rescues missing serpent from neighbour’s kitchen in Bedforshire

The RSPCA reunited a snake missing for three months with her owner – after she was spotted under the neighbour’s washing machine.

A canine hero came to the rescue after an injured cat got lost in a Tamworth field.

Black labrador Milo, aged 20 months, was out walking with his owner John Williams when the poorly cat was spotted in the undergrowth of a field in Main Road, in Wigginton, Tamworth.

Cat found 250 miles away from Belgium home is reunited with owner

A missing cat found in Buckinghamshire has been reunited with his owner who lives 250 miles away in BELGIUM –  thanks to his microchip.

Gizmo went missing in August 2015, while temporarily living in High Wycombe with his owner Milene Letertre.

Despite an extensive search, Gizmo could not be located and in November a heartbroken Milene moved back to her home in Silly, Belgium.

Hefty hedgehog gives the gym a miss after getting stuck in a rut

An RSPCA inspector rushed to a rather prickly rescue last week after a rather large hedgehog got stuck between two metal fences at a gym in St. Albans.
